Pill rationing is so unfair. It causes so many hardships.

Stop pharmacies from blocking refills. We NEED this medication and interruptions can be catastrophic. Psychosis can break through within days. It's very dangerous and unhealthy.

I think it is a mistake in TheAngryMoms' suggested revised guidelines for Clozapine to say that the ANC should be checked weekly for the first six months and then PERIODICALLY THEREAFTER. I believe that "periodically thereafter" will in practice mean a continuation of monthly or at minimum quite frequent blood tests FOR LIFE for many if not most individuals taking Clozapine, even without a REMS. As ridiculous as it seems to continue blood testing on a monthly or otherwise frequent basis after many years on this drug and for an entire lifetime, I believe that many/most providers will be reluctant to make the call to suspend monthly/frequent/regular blood testing at all, and those who do will all have different timelin…

Clozaril saved my 21yo son’s life and he has not been hospitalized in 6yrs. Every month the anxiety, stress, TIME, with pharmacy, coordinating with doctor, making sure entered REMS, ANC, etc. I have been beind the pharmacy with pharmacists showing me. I have had to stand up in a crowd to say: well, my son will be psychotic if I wait the SIX days you are suggesting to get help!!!!!! The meds should be dispensed as regular meds with follow up re: blood work. My fight is for people that don’t have someone advocating and taking the stress on helping with care and med management. Homeless or low income Psychotic due to no clozaril bc doctors, pharmacist, math wasn’t done.…
